Is the last few per cent of pour control worth the difference?
These two do the same job to a similar standard, which makes the comparison unusually simple: what does the extra money actually buy, and is that where your next hundred should go?

Buy the Stagg if your grinder is already sorted and you want the best-pouring kettle made. The counterbalanced handle is a real piece of engineering you feel on every brew, not a styling detail.
Buy the Artisan if there is still a grinder to buy. It reaches most of the Stagg’s control for meaningfully less, and burrs change the coffee far more than a spout ever will.
Less than the marketing suggests. Brewing at 92 rather than 96 °C is a real but small difference, far smaller than one grind adjustment. What genuinely helps is the hold function, and both have it.
For a beginner, largely yes. Going from a normal kettle to any gooseneck is by far the biggest step; going from a cheap gooseneck to either of these is a refinement.

The best-pouring kettle sold, and the hold function matters more than the thermometer. Expensive for boiling water — but if you brew pour-over daily, it is the accessory that most improves the cup.
Best for: Daily pour-over, where flow rate is the variable you are trying to control.
